Laura Herrera Castillo is currently Interim Professor of Renaissance Philosophy and Intellectual History. She researches and teaches in particular on the philosophy of the early modern period (especially G. W. Leibniz) and the philosophy of the Renaissance (especially N. Cusanus). Further foci of her teaching and research include: neo-Kantianism (especially E. Cassirer), questions of critical historiography of philosophy, the history of metaphysics and history of science, as well as the philosophy of mathematics from a historical perspective (especially Renaissance and early modern period).
Editorial Boards: philosophy journal Universitas Philosophica (seit 2018), member of the editorial board of the Spanish edition of the philosophical and scientific works of Leibniz: G. W. Leibniz Obras filosóficas y científicas (since 2015), coordinator of the book series Nova Leibniz (published by Comares, Spain, 2011 - 2021).
